Advocacy for Employees
Our Consumer Rights unit works to support consumers by preventing foreclosures, predatory lending, credit discrimination, and more.
Our Workers' Rights unit protects the things that matter most to Boston's workforce, including unemployment benefits, paid sick days, parental leave, wages, and more.
Advocacy for Better Living
We work hard to eliminate housing shortages and instability for people in low-income households, and we actively advocate for local-, state-, and federal-level legislative action on housing reform.
We're the only legal aid program with a large volume of client with Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI), and as such, we advocate for fair and equitable treatment for those clients through the CORI and Reentry Project.
Our Welfare Law unit is dedicated to driving legislation that addresses key aspects of the welfare agency, such as immigrant eligibility, food stamp rights, and rights for individuals with limited English proficiency.
